Should I get pierced with a Stud or CBR?

I'm getting my helix/cartilage pierced tomorrow (at a proffesional tattoo parlour, with a needle) and I just wanted to know should I start off with a stud or CBR? Is it true that if you start with a CBR you can't change it to a stud later on? And Is it true you're more prone to infection if you have a stud? PLEASE answer, because I want to be able to switch between a CBR and a stud when my piercing is healed. THANK YOU ! :)
