How can i make it shinier?

i got my nose pierced about 4 and a half or 5 weeks ago. its not ready to be taken out yet but the stud isn't shiny and i hate that. it just looks like a pebble on my nose...how can i make it really shiny or at least shinier than it is without taking it out and or getting a new one and putting it in? thanks.
