How do you hide a 2 day old lip piercing from work?

Please no answers such as "you shouldn't have one if you have to hide it." I'm 18, and legally got it done two days ago. I need to hide it from work because they told me they want to keep more conservative. I have spider bites and they are studs. I tried removing the front ball, but I just can't get them to budge. Also it doesn't help that my lip is naturally swollen from it being a new piercing. Would I need a longer post possibly? Because the plates are starting to somewhat embed into my gums.
