Pokerstars, is it normal in the free roll with 2000 people in that when only 64 get paid play continues?

Just started pokeratars the other day and had a good start as I got myself a ticket to a 2000$ free roll after playing stud hi/lo free roll which lasted a good 5 hours keeping me up to 5:30 in the morning, but the wierd thing is after the bubbl burst play continued.... Even though all the players remaining had all bagged ourselfs the ONLY price ( the ticket) from this free roll... Did it just continue for te players who felt like winning this free roll just for pride purposes? Bw I just started pokeratars since FTP is down..
