Is there a way to get my nose piercing back in?

I took my nose stud out on Monday to change it and I couldn't get one back in. I tried for about an hour but it wasn't going in so I left it out. Today is Wednesday and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way I could get it back in without going back to the place where I got it done about a year ago. Please help.
